Facebook will announce the launch of a new fellowship program. However, this program is limited to computer engineering students across the United States alone.

In addition, these students are also required to work in fields related to social computing and other Internet technologies. To get the fellowship, students must submit a work with a theme that has been determined to fight one of the themes offered. To support this program, Facebook itself has launched a new site here.

Students chosen to receive a fellowship, Facebook will provide facilities for paying tuition academic year, including tickets and pocket money $ 30,000 dollars in pocket money, $ 5,000 to buy a computer, and $ 5,000 to pay for travel and conference costs.

They will also have the opportunity to be placed as an intern at Facebook’s office and paid for the following summer.

The fifth theme is meant is

1. Internet Economics: algorithmic theory relevant to online advertising auction.

2. Cloud Computing: Storage, database, and optimization for distributed computing on a large scale in the environment.

3. Social Computing: Models, algorithms and systems in social networks, social media, social search and collaborative environment.

4. Data Mining and Machine Learning: learning algorithms, feature generation, and effective evaluation methods to produce a model of behavior online and offline.

5. Systems: Hardware, operating system, runtime, and language support for fast, scalable, efficient data center.

6. Information Retrieval: the search algorithm, information extraction, answer questions, cross-language and multimedia.

This application is submitted later than the date on February 15, 2010, and winners will be announced on March 29.
